Hi! I'm Jake Sumberg, your private chef, trained at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY.
I’ve worked in top kitchens like Buddakan NYC and The Whelk in Westport, CT, cooked privately for families in Manhattan, and hosted corporate cooking classes for clients like Havas and PepsiCo.
After spending a decade in the software world, I saw firsthand how challenging it is for busy New Yorkers to consistently eat well at home when juggling work and family life.
Chop Chop was inspired by my own meal-prepping routine. Seeing how coworkers envied the healthy, delicious meals I made for my husband and I sparked the idea of sharing that ease with others.
